A Cottage Food Operation is a bakery/kitchen that sells specific, home made goods directly to the consumer. To put it simply, Barn Owl Bakery sells home made goods. This means we are only allowed to sell FDA approved recipes that do not require refrigeration. Some of my menu items are limited for that reason(such as, I can only have American Buttercream on my cakes, I am not allowed to do ganache). Examples of other Cottage Food Operations in Humboldt County are: To Diane with Love Cookie Co., Mandy's Macs, and the Humboldt Baking Company. 

If you go to the 'Order Now' section and click the Sign Up Sheet, you can reserve a spot for your chosen date. Then fill out an Order Form on that same 'Order Now' section, and I will contact you shortly with an Order Confirmation!

No, we do not currently have cakes. We do not have the fridge space for a high volume of cakes on a weekly basis. I do hope to offer sheet cakes in the future.

Barn Owl Bakery does not have an actual store front, as we are a cottage food operation. But, pick up is in Eureka. The exact address will be given out once your order is confirmed!

Yes! We do wedding cakes, for which we have an order form on our 'Order Now' page. 

(during the summer we have a special setup for wedding season)

We offer delivery within a limited radius, because our business is just starting! We currently deliver to Arcata, Eureka, and some areas in Blue Lake, but there is a fee which varies depending on the distance, and the size of the cake. 

Yes, we offer cake tastings for interested clients. They are $25 for 4 flavors, which would be taken out of your total cost should you choose Barn Owl Bakery for your wedding.
